Create an art journal that’s bursting with color, loaded with techniques and filled with journaling that’s all about you. Yes, you.

You’ll explore two areas in this class. First, journaling: You’ll have 15 journaling prompts, plus tips and tricks for getting your words down onto the page. Dive deep, or keep things light—either way is fine!

The second focus is making art journal backgrounds. We’ll create color with Gelatos® from Faber-Castell. These pigment sticks are low-mess, easy to use and give you a ton of coloring possibilities. Better yet, they can be used straight on the page or mixed with gesso, gel medium and more. We’ll experiment with stamping, texturizing and blending Gelatos®.

When we’re done making pages, I’ll show you a simple, stress-less binding technique.

I hope you’ll join us to color, glue and journal…and create a fabulous 30-page journal that celebrates you!

In this 3-hour–long class, you’ll make 15 art journal spreads and learn—

- 15+ Gelato® techniques
- 15 journaling prompts
- Design layout tips
- Writing tricks and techniques for capturing your story…even if you’re not a writer
- Info on personality quizzes to kick-start your inner dialogue
- Doodling and penwork ideas (the easy kind!)
- 7 side-by-side examples of Gelato® blending techniques
- A super-simple and really fun bookbinding method
