"BE STILL MY HEART"  Mixed Media/Altered Heart Pendant

I've always been fascinated with the look of simple objects from days gone by. Buttons with threads still attached, old rhinestone pieces, special charms, antique watch faces and more, all which could tell a hundred stories from the past in which they were a part of!

Create this gypsy style pendant using found objects, vintage and vintage style pieces, several layers of colors and washes. Learn how to change the color, or age and distress items that may look too "new".

This pendant is definitely a focal point to any look whether casual, Boho or gypsy style.  Each one will be unique and one of a kind,  determined by your colors chosen, the special embellishments, and of course, your imagination!   This class is perfect for artists and crafters of all levels.

"HEART CHAINS"   Vintage Gypsy Style Assembled Chain

Sometimes the beauty of a necklace lies just as much with the chain as it does with  the pendant  that hangs from it!!  Learn to make this vintage gypsy style chain that pairs perfectly with the "BE STILL MY HEART" pendant taught in a separate class also offered here at Creative Workshops.  This assembled chain would also look special adorning your own pendants that you may have, or it could be made extra long for a double or triple wrap necklace, with no pendant at all!

You will learn some basic jewelry skills including  opening and closing a jump ring correctly,  how to connect chain segments and decorative elements together and  we will also cover more artistic skills such as wire wrapping beads, crystals, rhinestones, etc. how to make "connectors" using old buttons, and more.

Every chain made will look completely unique, determined by the styles, colors and shapes of your chosen beads and other pieces.
