Explore a variety of techniques to create paintings that will literally become 3 dimensional. Techniques will include ....plaster, fabric stiffener and other textural mediums. We will explore how to dip, drape and get plastered! This is a techniques class, there will be no one speciific project completed.

Our inspiration will come from the dress form, and what that represents to woman. Is your dress meant to have a vintage flair.. a fabulous ballerina tutu or a simple frock ready to swirl and dance in.

We will create our unique dress forms using materials including plaster. stencils and modeling paste.I love to layer, paints, fabric and various mediums to create depth, form and rich painterly surfaces to my art .I will show you paint layering techniques and how to incorporate various bits and pieces from the past to make your pieces have meaning and joy.

I believe every one should create the dress they were meant to swirl and dance in.

Please do not run out and buy all the supplies at once. Perhaps start with one of the modeling compounds ie(Paris Craft) and play with that for a bit before you move on to another product.
