Does this look like a photo you could have taken? We all have them.

If you’d like to learn to make it look like this then this is the class for you!

In this class we are going to focus on grunging photos with texture layers. I will show you how to use techniques that can take a plain, even boring picture and add some pizazz.

This is a great introduction to layers, blending modes and textures. Layers and blending modes give you limitless ways to manipulate images. You will also learn about the value of cropping and an easy way to lighten or darken your photos with more control through levels and a quick way to resize. You will learn to create text on your photos and how to create a really easy way to watermark photos.
This class is taught in baby steps and I hold your hand the entire journey. If you are a beginner, not to worry, this class is taught in such a way that you can learn! I use software that allows you to follow me step by step in Photoshop Elements with plenty of closeups and explanations. I will provide you with links for free textures resources and show you how to use them. I will provide you with sample images and textures exactly as I use in the workshop if you want to follow my steps before you break out on your own, or maybe you will find you will be flying with textures on your own with no need for my images. In no time at all you can take your images from drab to fab!
I will be teaching this series with Photoshop Elements 9. If you have been questioning whether to invest in Elements here is a great opportunity. You can download the latest version of Elements from Adobe free for 30 days and then you can try a budget friendly class that will give you a good idea whether Elements is for you. And if you have an earlier version of Elements this is a great opportunity to see the changes made in Elements 9. If you have an earlier version (no earlier than 5) you can still take these workshops because the fundamental tools and tasks of Elements don't usually change.
As with all Creative Workshop classes, the actual workshop takes place in a secure environment and it is open ended. That means there is not a take down date, so you don't need to feel rushed like those classes with time limits set on them. And if ever a class needs to be retired by a teacher, students are given much advance warning. All our videos are put up at once, no doling out week to week of videos because we know everyone works at a different pace. And your workshop is available 24/7 so you can fit it to your schedule instead of the other way around. Within the workshop you always have access to your teacher.

The class is approximately 180 minutes in length. Available 24/7 with no end date.
