This class will open you up to new ideas for journaling and book making. It will fill you with inspiration and leave you with the right tools to either make many more journals or even just with some inspiration to start journaling. Here is what we will cover:
* How to create tea stained papers for the inside of your journal
* Printing images on your tea stained pages to get that really vintage look
* How to create pockets and sleeves within your journal
* Sewing free ways to add lace and fabric to your journal pages
* Creating a solid cover for your journal
* Easy binding methods for adding the pages inside the cover
* Ways to embellish your journal cover and spine
* Decorating the inside pages of your journal
* Adding different types of tabs to your journal
* Creating date headers in your journal
* Adding decorative lines to your journal pages
* Ideas and layouts within your handmade, vintage journal

No journaling or bookbinding experience is needed for this class. Beginners and experts alike will benefit from the ideas in this class. If you do not have access to a printer, please see the Kits with premade pages in my etsy shop which I prepared specifically for this class.

SUPPLIES

* 8-1/2 x 11 € 100lb. Cardstock weight paper **
* A color printer (optional)
* Royalty free digital images **
* Ruler
* Pencil or fine point marker
* Lace, ribbon, fabric squares, swatches or small pieces to embellish the journal
* Colored or patterned cardstock paper to create pockets **
* Colored or patterned cardstock paper for the journal cover **
* Duct tape or similar wide tape in gold or a pattern or color matching your journal cover
* Linen thread for binding + large needle for thread (You can substitute embroidery thread for the linen thread if you have that on hand)
* White glue or Mod Podge or Gel Medium
* Glue stick or tape runner
* Washi tape (optional)
