Celebrate Spring any time of the year!  In this workshop you will draw a beautiful trio of tulips using colored pencils.  Elizabeth will help you see the colors that are often hidden in the obvious.  The layering of colors brings depth and life to your colored pencil drawings.  Elizabeth will walk you through the colors and layers one step at a time. And you will learn the method of using a solvent to allow for layering with an undercoat. Using solvent is a fun and time saving technique that will bring more realism to your colored pencil drawings.

Colored pencils
I used Prismacolor Premier pencils in the following colors:
     Indigo Blue
     Tuscan Red
     Crimson Red
     Non Photo Blue
     Powder Blue

Caran d’Ache Pablo pencils or Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils are
interchangeable with the Prismacolor on this project.

Zest-It colored pencils solvent
     or a similar product
I prefer Zest-It solvent as it is non toxic and non acidic.  If you are in the USA, you may order Zest-It here:
If you are outside the USA, you may find information about Zest-It here:  Zest-It    (Some students in UK
locations have mentioned finding Zest-It at their local art stores.  You might check.)
